McWay Cove, Big Sur

I took this picture in April 2002.
McWay Cove is in Julia Pffeiffer Burns State Park, south of the Big Sur post office on Highway 1.
This spot is less than a hundred yards from the highway.  Although it may look like somebody left their
garden hose running, that is a natural waterfall.  The cove is beautiful but there is no safe trail down to
it off the cliffs.  Every year, a few people are seriously hurt trying to do it anyway.
